WHY NOW?

Demand has never been higher for early-stage capital - yet early stage capital is in short supply.  Many established venture capital funds are simply too large to make appropriate sized investments for early stage companies, even though this is where they got their start.  This initial Reservoir Venture Partners fund was raised to help address that issue, because we believe that this is still a high-potential area for venture investing.

We also believe that there are significant investments to be made in our region and in our local area, and that the presence of a credible investor can help attract other capital.  Reservoir Venture Partners, with its strong support from local institutions, and its potential to help commercialize technology from both the Ohio State University as well as Battelle Memorial Institute, can serve as a catalyst to dramatically increase the access to capital for promising companies.
