Ravi Khatod Joins PacketMotion as SVP of Worldwide Sales and Business Development

Khatod Brings Sales Track Record of Triple Digit Growth at Start Ups

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--PacketMotion, pioneers of User Activity Management, today announced the recruitment of Ravi Khatod as senior vice president, Worldwide Sales and Business Development. Well known for his achievements in enterprise-focused startups, Khatod joins PacketMotion after successfully growing companies such as MokaFive™, an innovative leader in virtual desktop management technology, as well as IronPort, PostX and CipherTrust.

At PacketMotion, Khatod will be responsible for building the global sales force, increasing PacketMotion’s channel presence, and rapidly growing revenue. A recently closed round of venture capital funding enables the recruitment of Khatod http://www.packetmotion.com/English/Collaterals/Press_Releases/2009/10-26-09_Financing.html. PacketMotion with its PacketSentry product line was recognized as a “2009 Cool Vendor” by leading industry analyst firm Gartner, which also recently identified “Security-Activity Monitoring” as a top ten technology trend for 2010.

"Khatod joins PacketMotion at an auspicious time because more enterprises are recognizing their need to both meet increasing compliance/audit requirements as well as protect their networks and applications from internal threats,” said Paul Smith, CEO, PacketMotion. “Khatod’s high energy and personable style will be extremely effective among our customers and prospects, as well as highly motivating to our growing sales team.”

Prior to MokaFive, Khatod worked for IronPort Systems Inc., a leading provider of solutions that protect businesses against spam, viruses and malware, and now part of Cisco, where he was group vice president for E-mail Compliance and Encryption products. He joined IronPort through its acquisition of PostX, where, as domestic vice president of Sales, he and his team were responsible for doubling revenues and increasing the customer base fivefold.

Khatod’s strong track record in building high-growth sales teams, introducing new products to new markets, and exceeding revenue targets stems from positions of increasing responsibility at MokaFive, IronPort (acquired by Cisco), and CipherTrust (acquired by Secure Computing).
