New Partner Named to Reservoir Executive Team For Immediate Release August 15, 2008 Contact: Kathleen Murphy 614-221-2885 ext 16 (Columbus, OH) – Reservoir Venture Partners (RVP) announced today that Matthew R. Carbonara has joined the firm as a General Partner. Carbonara comes to RVP from his position as a Managing Director at TeleSoft Partners, a Silicon Valley-based venture capital firm specializing in communications and information technology, and after service to TechColumbus as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence. “Matt brings fifteen years of experience with technology companies, serving in venture capital, product marketing and design engineering capacities. He will provide RVP with expansive expertise in information technology portfolio management, one of the three core business sectors we look to for investment,” said Curtis D. Crocker, RVP Partner. While Carbonara spent much of his career in the Silicon Valley, he has strong Ohio roots, earning a B.S. (1990) and M.S. (1992) in Electrical Engineering at The Ohio State University. During this past year, he coached and mentored several, high-growth start-up companies as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at TechColumbus. “Matt has been an extremely valuable asset for local emerging technology companies and TechColumbus is pleased to see him moving to RVP, bringing helpful venture capital portfolio management and Silicon Valley perspectives to our market,” said Will Indest, TechColumbus Vice-President of Capital Access and Capital Formation. Prior to joining TeleSoft Partners, a firm with more than $600 million under management, Carbonara worked for several technology-based companies where he had significant responsibility for product marketing and product design. Those included Terayon Communications Systems in Santa Clara, California, which went public in 1998 and has since been acquired by Motorola. He has also handled technical management responsibilities at LSI Logic and Amdahl Corporation in Silicon Valley. RVP was founded in 2001 to invest in Ohio and Midwest early stage companies with high-growth potential in the healthcare, information technology and advanced materials business sectors.
